King James Bible
And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? Mark 4:38
Jesus taught his Disciples by parables and actions that tested their faith. In this example Jesus shows fisherman that he can calm the sea, all they needed was faith.
There are tests throughout our lives that test our biblical faith as well as our fear that our secrets will be exposed. And I am talking about secrets that are not because of sin or dishonor, but your fear that your personal beliefs will be discovered. Today the left uses fear to keep us under control. It is those of us that are not under their thumb that they fear – that is why Biden states that we are the enemy within and labels us as being part of a “white supremacy”. That way you see, others will fear associating with us, or hitting ‘like’ when something we post makes common sense, is perhaps using critical thinking, or is correct in their eyes.
Here are some fears being held over us:
Are you afraid of COVID-19?
Are you afraid that others will learn of your spiritual beliefs?
Are you afraid of what others will do or say if they know your political standings?
Are your political beliefs ones you are willing to share without being judged as an enemy of the left?
Are your beliefs in science differ from judgmental leftist people?
Do you fear reprisal if they learn where you stand on laws or say getting a COVID-19 vaccination?
Events that happened over the last week came to a head for me today. It began with a sermon at my church the encounter with a sales person, a new friend and the sermon entitled: Faith Over Fear – Tony Evans that gave me pause to think about fear and how fear can become real if someone changes the way they see you as a friend, a co-worker or perhaps your employer sees you or how you have to behave in public now with fear driving your actions.
Last weekend my wife and I met a person who goes to our church. We talked frankly for probably a half-hour about politics. You see within this Blog and my Facebook page(s), that I am an outspoken, conservative, christian, Republican, and I follow current events pretty extensively. Over that conversation I found that this person and I were like minded. We even have read the same book by Dr. Voddie T. Baucham Jr. (Author), titled: Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism’s Looming Catastrophe Hardcover – April 6, 2021 . We both discovered him about 3 years ago and agree that his work needs to be in the for-front of the christian church today. I have gifted a copy of the book to my church.
Now to the fear part of our meeting. This new friend asked me what my Blog was titled. We both noted that we had become discouraged by Facebook after the election and walked away for weeks. I told him that I then came back with a new blog (old blog was TheConservativeSpeaker.com) and a renewed energy to use Facebook as a useful enemy and use the platform to inform as many people as I could to what the true was regarding todays politics and the stolen 2020 election.
When I went home and was on Facebook later that day I looked him up with the intension of friending him. But, to my dismay he is like so very many who the left, and others who have control in his life have him afraid to speak his mind. I am not critical of his fear. It is just that the left has fear as another control mechanism. So many people have that fear. Some tell me that they love to read my stuff to be informed, but just can’t speak up. I get it. HOWEVER, I WOULD LIKE TO SOMEHOW GET A GAGE OF HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ENLIGHTENED BY READING MY FB PAGES AND BLOG!! I would just like to know if I am making a difference.
I will leave you with this, that we fear those on earth that can do us harm, and fear God that we lead a righteous life and spend eternity in Heaven with Him and our loved followers. What does it mean to have the fear of God? | GotQuestions.org
