How to know an election is fair without a full audit – Run the below process and validate each step as you go
A. The People that Vote Clearing Process:
- Use the latest USA Consensus as the number of Americans of each house whole, age, and house location
- Use the latest voter registered voter rolls by state, county, and precinct
- Clean each registered voter role of dead people and people have moved yearly
- Each state county and precinct run a yearly validation of the USA Consensus against the latest voter registration prior to each federal and statewide election
- By doing items 1 – 4 above you have worked to assure the 1 person, 1 vote rule
B. Validate your voting equipment – both the voting machines and the tally machines:
- Run a calibration of each vote counting (for 1:1 vote)
- Run a vote tally is a FULL CHAIN OF CUSTODY
- Run a validation and ensure the machines are not capable of connecting to the internet
- Ensure all system keys are under safe lock and secure password protection
C. Validate your paper ballot:
- Ensure the paper ballot is the right paper, paper consistency, layout and has the correct printing quality and validity
- Verify the supply sources of paper ballots used are correct and distribution is correct, adequate, and controlled
D. Ensure your staff is trained and have them sign that they know and understand the process and they will adhere to all laws and state house procedures:
E. Validate the process of collecting and verifying the voters’ wishes and 1:1 vote:
- Check each voter rolls against item A. 1 & 2, check their ID, and have them sign that role that they are the person voting
- Check each voter’s ballot for a 1:1 as it is put in the counting machine
- If the ballot is kicked back for any reason, have it validated by the about steps as to the voters’ wishes
- Take a tally of the ballot counting machines by direct print out and or electronic key
- Place a “Do not Tamper” sticker on the electronic key or print out envelope
- Forward the sealed tallies to the precinct headquarters for county wide count
- Run the county wide count – validate the count and forward the results to state headquarters via sealed instrument
- Talley the state overall tally and forward same to federal headquarters where a federal election is involved
- Ensure all systems keys are under safe lock and secure password protection
F. Validate and Report Final Results:
- Run validation results with verification assurance of all above steps in A-E have been taken by sign off authority at each step
- Report the results.
- File all process step results, and documentation in a safe and secure location
